Royal Tarlair Developments Update, 1st June 2013

Wind Turbine

We have been successful with our planning consent on our first turbine and are awaiting an environmental report which will determine the outcome of the second machine. At present the reports received from other agencies have been favourable and we hope that this continues as income from the second machine will greatly help long term sustainability.

Development Plots

The Housing Development is likewise making steady progress through the relevant Council Departments and we are hoping for a favourable outcome mid to late summer. All the legal requirements are in place and the planning gain agreements have been worked up to the satisfaction of all parties.

Course Re-Design

Course redesign will be next on the agenda along with some clubhouse upgrades. The various sub groups have been busy on all fronts, and with the number of community groups accessing the facility for fundraising events doubling over the last 6 months from that of 2012, RTGC finds itself in a stable position leading into the busy golf season. With the membership now on the increase both playing and social members are seeing the benefits of a now community focussed golf club. We are indebted to the work being carried out behind the scenes by a very pro-active team of volunteers.
