| The
Banff and Moray coast is a mecca for golfers.Courses
vary from traditional links, clifftop to parkland. Duff
House Royal Golf Course is renowned for its playability
and for its location, situated at the mouth of the river
Deveron. |
|
The
river Deveron is one of Scotland's premiere salmon and
sea trout rivers. Sea and loch fishing are also available.
Arrangements can be made for angling facilities on request.
|
| Banff
also has many finely restored 18th century buildings
including Duff House, designed
by William Adam. Why not take a walk through the grounds,
and along to the Bridge of Alvah, a beautiful spot
to view the River Deveron from. There is also a fine
sandy beach with coastal walks, whisky and castle
trails nearby, and the town centre is only minutes
away.
You
won't be disappointed with a visit to Banff and the
surrounding area. |

There
are many other things to and places to see in the
Banff and Buchan area. Details are available. The
Marine Aquarium in Macduff is always popular with
visitors.
If
you want to explore further afield, why not take a
tour up the coast to Elgin to see the magnificent
remains of the Cathedral. Along the way you can visit
some of the small picturesque fishing villages built
right on the coast, or visit the 17th century harbour
at Portsoy. |
