Macduff is situated within the historical district of Banffshire, and offers a wide range of leisure activities to suit all ages.
Nestling on the rugged Moray Firth coastline, the area is a wildlife haven with seals, dolphins and whales visible from the shoreline. The Macduff Marine Aquarium houses many of the species found in the Moray Firth, in a deep central kelp tank. Recently installed an interactive Gannet Cam offering live footage of the Gannets nesting at Troup Head.
There are a number of sandy beaches within a short drive of Macduff, Banff Links with a children’s adventure playground, Sandend, and secluded Cullykhan to name but a few.
A trip to Duff House is a must, a treasure house and cultural arts centre. There is an abundance of wildlife in the grounds and woodland walks by the river Deveron, up to and beyond the Bridge of Alvah.
